About My Practice

Placeholder

For over 20 years, I have worked with adolescents, adults, and families to help them navigate life’s challenges and create meaningful, lasting change. I provide evidence-based psychotherapy in a supportive, collaborative environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered.

My clinical approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I work with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, OCD and behavioral challenges.

I have extensive training in family-centered, research-supported models such as Functional Family Therapy and Multi-Systemic Therapy. These approaches are particularly effective when youth are experiencing difficulties such as defiance, anger, withdrawal, school refusal, or substance use, and when families are seeking practical tools to improve communication and connection.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Tufts University and my Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from Boston University. I have been licensed in the state of California through the Board of Behavioral Sciences since 2003 (LCSW #21473).

Prior to private practice, I worked in a variety of outpatient and residential settings with nonprofit organizations serving youth, adults, and families. This experience continues to inform my thoughtful, compassionate, and structured approach to care.

I believe therapy works best when it is grounded in trust, collaboration, and practical strategies that clients can carry into their daily lives.
